Rarely seen but a common species in general, Aristolochia argentina produces masses of flowers throughout the season even if temperatures drop below 10 °C. 

 

The wiry shoots emerge out of a short and thick tuberous stem directly above soil level to which it will die down during the winter period/drought period in its natural habitat.
