A very rewarding and desirable species, Aristolochia baetica is yet uncommon in culture but very easy to grow. 

 

Thriving in semiarid regions across the South of the Iberian peninsula and Morocco it does best provided a sunny and warm spot. The cherry red to brown flowers will appear continuously during the season giving off a vinaceous fragrance.
