Among the few Mexican Aristolochia species in cultivation, A. coryi seems to be the most diminutive one and can be cultivated perfectly in hanging baskets.

As soon as established properly it's almost impossible to kill it by drought, however, cold and/or humid weather quickly lead to mould and weakening of the tuberous underground stem.
